About 10 1/2 years ago I bought my first table saw. I am on my second as I wore out that first one. I kicked off its use with a simple project. A cradle for a marble ball. I took a piece of 4×4, and ran progressively deeper cuts from the outside in.

Nothing pretty. Nor fancy. Just something to get a feel for my new toy.

Over a 10 year period I learned to do all kinds of tricks with the table saw. I got a miter saw, router(s), eventually a band saw. But the table saw became king among them.
