Brush Roundup
Starting out in my paint lessons by rounding up the brushes I have been collecting. Time to stop collecting and start using! This is most of them. Many are bargain brushes. For the nicer ones I awaited a good sale price (a two year or more wait for some, same with some of the paints I acquired).
I have already learned to:
use the largest brush you can first, working your way down, saving the tiny brush (rigger) for detail
don’t be afraid to load the brush with paint
don’t overwork (one quickly learns what that means, it is difficult to explain, but you’ll know when you transgress! Next time I do, I will post about it.
I plan on this being mostly a Progress Report, at least in the beginning, so for now I will leave the brush lessons to something I found.
