Brush Roundup

Starting out in my paint lessons by rounding up the brushes I have been collecting. Time to stop collecting and start using! This is most of them. Many are bargain brushes. For the nicer ones I awaited a good sale price (a two year or more wait for some, same with some of the paints I acquired).

I have already learned to:

  • use the largest brush you can first, working your way down, saving the tiny brush (rigger) for detail

  • don’t be afraid to load the brush with paint

  • don’t overwork (one quickly learns what that means, it is difficult to explain, but you’ll know when you transgress! Next time I do, I will post about it.

  • I plan on this being mostly a Progress Report, at least in the beginning, so for now I will leave the brush lessons to something I found.
