About two months ago a neighbor (we will call him Daniel), who dabbled with woodworking, moved out. Within a week a package arrived on his porch. I felt it an easy target for theft so I brought it to my garage.
It was from Barrington Hardwoods LLC.
That got me excited!
I attempted to contact Daniel through one of his roommates who shared the house. After a month I finally heard from him.

He said he didn’t know when he would be back in the area and that I could have the contents as long as I let him know what I make (I offered to store them until he could swing by, but he declined that).
Soooooo, I “inherited” 15 pieces of hardwood, each 3/4”x2”x24”.
5 Walnut, 5 Cherry and 5 Maple.
What to make?
His intention was cutting boards.
Chess board(s) are possible (wouldn’t a Walnut and Maple chess board be beautiful!).

I love to make these tablet/phone stands out of hardwoods (and I have given many away, they are all over my house… and used daily).

Table ideas I found online.

That one on the left is similar to a plant stand I made from Oak and plexiglass pieces (the glass from my old fly-pen plotter lid) a few years ago. A pine entry bench can be seen in background.

It may be a couple of months before I can tackle these pieces (yeah, retirement can be a busy time… which is good!)
Narrow board Thoughts?
